The  Judson Book Group will be discussing The Persuaders: At the Front Lines of the Heart, Minds and Democracy by Anand Giridharadas. Persuasion is the lifeblood of any free society, we must change other people’s minds in order to change things. According to Giridharadas America is suffering a crisis of persuasion. Americans write off one another instead of seeking to win one another over. The book gives examples of how to champion persuasion in an age of polarization.

Passcode: judson
Meeting ID: 823 5419 4685

Each Thursday we identify specific aspects of the Bible that generate individual thought and open respectful discussion. Come join us and add your Thoughts/interpretations to the conversation as we examine Old and New Testament scriptures. We thoughtfully examine the messages to humankind valued centuries ago that continue to offer meaning to us in the 21st century.

VIRTUAL MEDITATION & PRAYER

Our Virtual Meditation & Prayer practice is open to anyone who would like to join by computer or phone.

These quiet, contemplative sessions last an hour, beginning with an opening centering prayer, followed by about 10 minutes of silence, a devotional poetry reading, a sharing of prayer requests, another 10 minutes of silence, and a closing centering prayer. Details to log in or call in will remain the same each week.
