Worship Services

Welcome to Judson

It's good to have you with us. If you are a first-time visitor and would like to receive more information about the church and its programs, please visit the Welcome Table at the back of the Meeting Room at the end of the worship service and fill out a "To Our Visitors" card.

Worship Services

The Sunday worship service is held at 55 Washington Square South and begin at 11:00 a.m., unless otherwise specified. After the church service, there will be a welcoming table at the back of the church where new people (and any others) are invited to meet members of the Congregational Life Committee and to ask any questions or to make suggestions.

Silent Meditation & Music Evening Services

Judson's Contemplative Service "Practice in the Presence of God" is on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 pm in the Meeting Room at 55 Washington Square South.

Please join Rev. Michael Ellick and the Community Ministers who will facilitate silent prayer, meditation and music.

Order of Service

Introduction

Practicing “the Presence of God” is the recognition of the divine in all things, at all times, with all people, and in every moment. It does not matter how you define God, or even if you believe in God, what matters is making space for a Presence and Power greater than the Self.

Closing Practice

Sometimes in silence and sometimes with music, in Closing Practice we clear the chairs, blow out the candles, clean up the Meeting Room, and depart without speaking, taking our practice out into the World. Now our real service begins…

Child Care & Sunday School

For preschool through high school-aged people, Judson provides child care  during the worship service which meets in the Sunday School area of Judson’s office suite. Sunday School will resume after Labor Day 2011 at 11:00 am in the Garden Room.

Hush Now, Don’t Explain: We know that you know already, but in case you forgot, consider this a gentle reminder to please turn off your cell phones and other electronic noisemakers while in the Meeting Room.

Agape Services

The first Sunday of each month is Agape Sunday. If you can, please bring bread, fruit, or cheese to share during the service. Plan to come a little early or stay a little late to help with the set-up and break-down. Remember, the feast is open to all, whether or not you bring anything.
