The 12 Steps of Ecological Recovery
Mondays from 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Garden Room at 239 Thompson Street
Why do human beings continue to destroy the environment when they know it's destroying their quality of life? The answer is stunningly simple and logical - addiction. Addiction to a pattern of consumption and perpetual motion that creates a physical, spiritual, and emotional rift between themselves and the planet.
Drawing upon the ideas and methods established by 12-step addiction recovery programs, the ER Group will explore this cultural dynamic, and talk about living with ecological accountability and honesty in the modern world.
"The 12 Steps of Ecological Recovery" is open and free to the public.
